General How do YOU plan to use the various Conspiracy cards?

I think that cards looks very boring. It's never going to be able to do the disk thing, unless you are way ahead. I can see it being interesting in multiplayer games, but not in 1on1.

The fact that in multiplayer your opponents can collude to blow it when you don't want to seems to make it undesirable in that format.

I've drafted with some of the cards a few times now. Aether Searcher was bad beats two of the three times it was drafted (nothing 'good' in the next pack) so it's likely coming out. Selvala users were very hesitant to ever use her, no one wanted their opponent to draw cards. Brago and Grenzo were great. Librarian was actually great as a drafting tool- Deal Broker was real cheaty since we were team drafting, but the opposing team at least got to see the swap. Likely coming out since team draft is the favored draft style in these parts.

I'm not gonna lie, I didn't read predator's howl. Looks pretty great.

wtf are you guys on? predator's howl is awful, triggering those cards is not easy and 3 2/2's for 4 isn't even that great in cube

selvala is way sweeter than she looks since she finds stuff to do with the mana (simic bon mot) and the lifegain is also great. anyone remember pristine talisman? you guys have got to give her another whirl. that and aether searcher too. (in general cubes here need a light sprinkling of extra fatties, everyone loves finishers)

magister of worth is kinda cool but i'd rather spend a 6-mana-wrath slot on a single-color card. Sunblast Angel for example more interesting to set up. or Planar Cleansing and Austere Command do something different than "wrath and make a dude"

i did not get to activate Grenzo but the card still seems awesome and the 2-CMC is interesting for pod

I've run bottled cloister before and it did do work (when it wasn't mind twisting it's owner when it got shattered, something this one avoids)

I'm adding one as soon as I get it. Wildfire Baby!

Looking at what the internet had to say about coercive portal yielded this:

That's..... Opportunistic I guess? And silly :)

I did an 8-man Conspiracy draft this weekend, and it was great fun, but also a bit ridiculous at times. One guy drafted the following:

Turn four kill in a four player game o_O

On the other hand I had great, great fun with:

I already figured Double Stroke was a bit too much, and after having played the Conspiracy draft, I'ld have to admit the benefits they provide are pretty nutty. I think Power Play is still a mighty fine card to put in the cube, as long as it only goes for the first game in a match. I'm going to be careful here I guess.

You may be right, but it is instant, so it would be pretty easy to trigger after combat in the opponent's turn (assuming some kind of trade occurred), allowing you to attack with those 3 2/2 wolf tokens next turn.
I wouldn't call it awful.

For whatever its worth, predator's howl is on my list of potential playables. Morbid is extremely easy for us to trigger, and the card moves at instant speed anyways, making it like some kind of weird pseudo combat trick--which is something my lower power environment is friendly towards. Its a 4cc token maker, which is something my cube wants: slow enough not to gum up an aggro deck's initial assault, but good enough for our weird dredgy/mill control decks to stabilize with. The tokens are also a raw resource for decks that want to exploit that sort of thing.

On top of that, being an instant, it gives me another spell/token maker that can flip delver, in case someone wants to go off the reservation and brew up some weird U/G delver aggro deck with call of the herd and talrand's invocation.

So, I don't know, I guess it just depends on the environment you put it in.

I actually can't get my players to embrace armada wurm. They always flick their cards and ask "why isn't this buddy wurm?" Even if armada wurm is pretty much certainly better in that instance.

After further testing, and retrying Selvala, she has become the "watch your opponent draw their doom blade, awkwardly do nothing with the mana she just gave you" card. I really hate Parley.

Update: After actually drafting Conspiracy, I want nothing to do with the whole thing any more. Conspiracy as a holistic format was pretty reasonable if you want a multi-player format which is all about stories and not at all about playing good Magic (i.e most multi-player Magic). That said, the actual Conspiracy cards were pretty much all stupid beyond belief. Turns out that cards are costed the way they are for a reason...

Some of the draft-bots were pretty decent though.

I have to agree. I cut all conspiracy cards except Worldknit in my last update. I still play 4 draft-bots (2 librarians, the big dude, and the trade-bot).

I can't say I'm surprised; after looking at the spoilers it seemed like the typical multiplayer format wizards likes to create: bomby dragon magic catering to more casual gamers. Archenemy and planechase had a similar feeling to them: fun until you start to realize that the outcome of each game was completely arbitrary, determined by whatever was the sets tacked on and overpowered gimmick.
