Some Ideas I've been bouncing around:

Mother of Runes can be miserable to play against. Maybe this is a good way to keep the spirit of the card in an enviornment?

I think this is what I wanted Horribly Awry to be, assuming I can't just sharpie out "Noncreature" (which would be insane)

Yeah yeah better stormfront pegasus yeah yeah what do you think?

I don't know if being multicolored is doing cartel aristocrat any favors

trying too hard (actually not really)

Whoa, Counter Lord Pridemate looks nuts to me. Then again, maybe it's 1 toughness balances it since you're likely to have to put the first bolster counter on it and it dies to everything.

hi hello how are you

do you prefer mse file or card images
http://s918.photobucket.com/user/anotak/library/futurecube2015

how about both
http://josso.co.uk/anotak/future-cube-sep-14-2015.mse-set

this isn't complete but it has a few white equipments in there that may need some tweaking

and for real you might prefer the mse file it has comments between 3 different people "t:" is me i did most of the stuff in there but credit to riptidelab user Lurker and I think i might have a few cards from you and Lucre in there too, they are credited in the comments, i was thinking about maybe throwing credit in the flavor text idk

really liking:
the colour pair indicators on the fetchlands

the UW 'when you draw a card' guys

Dredge for Treasure (T4T w/ Dredge 3)

Fire Sphere (bolt / Recoup bauble for {R}; ({R},{T} / {1}{R}, {T})

Forgotten Huntress ({R}{G} 3/1, sacrifice ~: return target card in a graveyard to its owner's hand)

Hidden Atlas ({U}{G} 'you may cast creature cards as though they had flash' artifact, has {U}{G}, {T}: put a land from your hand on the battlefield

Palladium Golem (spine of ish sah but it's a 5/7)

(flavour on Reassemble's flashback is great)

staff of light and shadow

Wackwitz, Foremage ({U} Legendary Human Wizard 1/1 with flash and etb force spike)

Yixlid Spectre ({1}{U} flier w/ Yixlid Jailer's ability)

thanks for the feedback

1) this is interesting but im not sure if im really a fan of non-P/T counters on creatures anymore. wotc seems to have mostly strayed away from it too?
2) not sure how i feel about this. i guess miscalc is good even without the cycling so this is good and prob very fair
3) i think this is way too good but sometimes you can just do that and run with it
4) really cool. actually i ran cartel aristo as hybrid before it was neat

Those fixes to Hallik seem ez, I'm sad my sengir tutor card is just a lame sedisi reprise but it's way more cube.

Here's a card unmade with chris in mind.

XG
Creature -
Trample
NAME ETB with X +1/1 counters
When NAME leaves the battlefield if it had 3 or more counters draw a card.
1/1

Might make the bonus at 4 but I've been honestly thinking a lot about a universal on drop guy with timed bonus.

Needs more Stream of Life! Make it a scalable Pelakka Wurm! :)

All those Blight Masters are pretty insane. I mean, Plagues Rusalka saw Standard play the first time it was printed. Not that that uncommon is a powerhouse or anything, but makin the -1/-1 permanent, removing the activation cost and putting the ability on a colorless cards looks way over the top to me. Oh, and it has a second ability!

The other two options look a bit better, but I don't know if turning Eldrazi spawn and scions into one-shot Sol Rings is entirely balanced. I don't know, both look a it pushed to me.

Plague Monk looks awesome. We know the base body's fair, because it's Lothlet Troll, and I like trading trample and regenerating for semi-modular. Sweet reanimator enabler!

Wolf Scrying and Wolf Edict seem fine. In an ULD environment, fetching any land certainly has its merits, and the Edict is a sweet removal spell if you can trigger the additional effect!

Wolf Flame is very underwhelming as a 2 mana sorcery speed Shock (not a card we cube) that provides only a marginal benefit when I jump through some hoops. I played a 2 mana variant that dealt 3 damage and always did the discard, draw thing, and it was super fair. If you want to soup this up, may I suggest making it an instant and granting Commune with Lava's exile and play before the end of your next turn ability if there are three or more counters on creatures you control?

Wolf Shift is kinda awkward, because the upgrade is not necessarily an upgrade, but rather an entirely new effect that you don't want to point at your own creatures (unlike the base effect). The upgraded effect is also very, very strong. It certainly looks playable though.

Wolf Walk seems pointless. Why would I ever want the to cast this card for the base effect? Obviously this is broken if can cast this on your opponent's turn, but why would you want to cube a card that is useless 99% of the time, and broken 1% of the time? This would seem much fairer as a Time Stop variant (ending any turn) granting the extra turn if there are 3 counters on creatures you control.

Yeah Shift and Walk are stupid. Didn't think about not being able to choose the other mode on shift after reaching 3 couners, either. I want flame to just say draw a card, but I'm not sure. If I do the exile think, I'd like it to only be for that turn, for less memory issues and questions. I think I really only like scrying. Putting spell lands into play at instant speed is sweet.

So as I've been designing my new Cube, I hit upon the idea of putting "Riptide pitch to Force" synergy in every color. Every color. This is easy enough except that White has no Proliferate card...
Proliferous Recovery {4}{W}
Instant
Return target creature card from your graveyard to the battlefield. Put a +1/+1 counter on it. Proliferate.

And Black's proliferate cards kinda suck...
Grimmer Affliction {2}{B}
Instant
Put a -1/-1 counter on target creature, then proliferate. Draw a card.

These are just Sharpie-customs I plan to make using the actual cards, but I thought I'd share nonetheless. (I'm not actually changing their names to those stupid joke names.)
Volt Charge is great as-is, Thrummingbird I can probably live with, and Green gives out so many +1/+1 counters already I feel like it doesn't need a Proliferator.

Though if I were to give it one...
Burst of More Strength {G}
Instant
Put a +1/+1 counter on target creature and untap it. Proliferate.

After Scorching Pool, I now thought of my second red awaken spell. It's rather... unconventional for red, but it works nicely with the art (except maybe for the awaken part, but then again, Chandra's awakening here! Maybe she's summoning the elemental?), and it's nice with the artifact/colorless subtheme I want to push just a little bit in blue/red.

Yeah but Forked Bolt only costs 1...
Maybe try something like this?
"Whenever a creature etb under your control this turn it deals 1 damage to target creature. Put two 1/1 thopters into play."
That could probably cost 3R and be okay, or 2R and be real gud. I'll let you decide how the awaken should be costed.

I think I'm going to try ths as is. It's a token maker first and foremost, and I want it to cost three. Also, customs are cool and all, but they should not overshadow regular cards in power level imho :)

Edit: Also, while Forked Bolt is indeed a better comparison than Twin Bolt, and cheaper, that card has been a powerhouse uncommon in Modern, and stapling that effect onto an already efficient spell that makes evasive tokens is just a bit too much for me.

i generally found that stuff like that is better just not put on the card because it's an extra thing to remember that people WILL forget bc it's not relevant 99.9% of the time and then when it is it just comes out of nowhere
bad feelings for players

and it just makes it harder to parse too

Yeah I'm with you 99% of the way, but how often is 12 mana for tapped 2/2 token going to be feel bad?

Swords to Goats.jpg Shaper Mystic.jpgI want a different second ability for this guy, I think.

the situation where you play a long, close, very tense game that's lasted to turns where the person playing a 2/2 has 12 mana and then flashes back EOT to get that one last attacker to be able to get that last 2 damage off a card the other player likely forgot by then bc the last time it was seen was on turn 1. you might say, oh that's such a rare situation, but in what other situation would this flashback matter ever, and in that case, why have it
