They normally run Scrying Sheets, and having >4 colourless lands is awkward. It's also hard for them to make BTE more than a bear or support other R-heavy permanents. I do want to find an occasion to chain Boros Reckoner into Volcano Hellion though.

That's more than fine; it's a bunch of cards coming together in an unlikely and unusual way. It's not as if you went Molten Rain into Avalanche Riders into Acidic Slime or w/e.

Phantasmal Bear was probably the worst card in the MODO Cube for a good while, though Grim Backwoods gave it a run for its money. It's better when the Cube designer actually gives a fuck, though.
