Card/Deck +1/+1 Counters

Cloudfin Raptor definitely feels like a 'tricky aggro' card in the style of Gravecrawler, and in a colour that doesn't usually have aggro cards of any stripe.

I can't see Shambleshark, Plaxcaster Frogling being worth a gold slot (flash especially is more of a "constructed" advantage), but I would encourage yall to try Prime Speaker.

Fwiw I think a Cloudfin theme could work now, but you'd have to be pretty ... devoted to Blue devotion. All the difficulties are described in the "make Blue do stuff / Blue aggro" thread, not the least of which is that the most effective measure I've taken to buff Blue is to make it do its characteristic thing more, i.e. counter their shit, which is a bit at odds with da Cloudfin gestalt

Edit: per CT I added a second Experiment One and have been pleased with this awesome card. Anyone else give it a try?

I've got a buddy who runs a full playset and lovesit

he goes pretty deep on this theme though, lots of proliferate, etc

No reason to run bad cards w/ the x1's. Also I cannot help but see "prolife" in "proliferate" and point out the irony of the mechanic being an abortion

I actually like evolve, it rewards jamming creatures and good sequencing.

Mostly volt charge. 3 mana bolt size up a few dudes seems like a fine spell to me.

Both of these cards are super playable, especially if you have on-theme support. I don't know that I would go much deeper. Mayyyybe Contagion Clasp. I know I do go deeper in the Eldrazi cube but some of those cards are kind of turds.

Yeah, a single counter + 3 damage or 2 cards is good value for those cards. I also think Walkers go a long way

Black/red vampires a thing? I have been playing around with this idea in my head. Basically builds on a +1/+1 theme, and provides incidental tribal. My concern is that some of these just aren't good enough? In my case, I'm willing to customise a little and give some of the cards a bit more oomph. For example give Bloocrazed Neonate haste.

And you can seed just a couple of Vampire lords into the cube. They aren't integral to the battleplan, but help it a whole lot. The only downside is that Bloodline Keeper is the only card probably good by itself.

Anyway, something to perhaps think about :)

Volt charge has been in and out of my list for a while, but has stayed with the inception of unleashed and the small gang of critters that made it in with that.

Koth ultimate the turn after you play him is a bitch.
