General Custom Cards: The Lab

Love this mini-goyf-necrotic-ooze idea. what about:
delve 2bg
Deathtouch
CARDNAME has all abilities of creature cards you own in exile.
If CARDNAME would leave play, exile it instead.
2/3

Maybe activated abilities to reduce potential complications and add lands as something it copies?

I like the 2/3 deathtouch for "two."

Horizon seems a cut above the rest unless your format really needs the 4 mana Wrath. Could probably be a 6 mana exile, but it's not crazy or anything as is.

Maybe the problem I'm having with it is that the cycle feels like it would be at uncommon, but Horizon is solidly a rare.

Heresy can probably be an instant.

Sounds good to me. Haven't found art I love yet...

Just in case you didn’t know:

Card Conjurer has the option to add extra black color around your cards. This is automatically toggled on unless you decide to toggle it off. This is the reason why your cards looks so weird. You can easily fix it.

I am no CC expert :p Just sharing the few things I have learned so far <3

MPCFill is a service which collects renders of cards people have, great if you just need some cool looking dual lands and you don't want to make them yourself
MPC is make playing cards, a company which ostensibly makes custom decks of playing cards, but we all use it to print stuff on actual cardstock.

Aaaaaah yes nice thank you

I have also ordered from Make Playing Cards before. I have never heard them spelled MPC before.

Yeah so now you know why your cards have that extra black space around that makes them look off. It is possible to say no to that. Will also make it easier to cut accurate MtG size :)

But I actually downloaded a template that had the black space on purpose, so I can order these from MPC. Not sure I will, though. A lot less cutting

I order them without the black. They still fit.

It’s up to you. I just think they look weird showcasing them with extra space. Kind of makes them look like a different card game.

Anyways, there is clearly nothing I can teach you so I will let you be :) <3 Just wanted to help

How pushed does something like this have to be to pick pickable in cube? Maindeckable and legacy playable, and even unprintable, are easy, pickable maybe not?

So these are artifacts mostly because of the format specific incentives I've got going on, and mostly indestructible because they're artifacts.
They are however, pickable but not broken. They were fetchable at one point, but they 100% don't need to be, even if they aren't artifacts.

Is there a specific reason you want your lands to be fetchable scry 3? That's a lot of decision making, especially since you'll be weighing it against a land drop every time you have a fetchland in play, Like do I want volcanic island here or scry 3?

I'm not sure I want to be presenting my drafters with "Click this button to stone rain yourself" regardless of what the reward is.

did you ever test this? i actually came up with literally same thing a week ago and then i came across this post.
Nope, forgot about those. Do it!

I kinda don't like that they're so good with fetches and worse without. Like CT says, fetches dont need help

Cool though
