I think the best indication of what storm should be is wing shards; if you get a storm count of like 2-3 it's pretty great, but drops off after that. Grapeshot/empty don't do that thing, because they just get better the closer to pure combo you can get it. I think an environment that can go, say, burning-tree emissary, seismic spike, bolt, scattershot for 4 is probably better than an environment where you're encouraged to try and grapeshot someone's entire life total.

I may have just convinced myself to run scattershot.

http://markrosewater.tumblr.com/pos...st-every-card-in-a-cube-is-powerful-and-has-a i guess there are people that believe that cubes have a flat power curve

This is such a weird technical pointless question. Don't ask "is drafting cube like drafting a set with flat power level", what does that mean? Say "Set X has a flat power level. Is drafting it like drafting cube?" Firstly I can't think of a set like that (help me out), and even once I'd thought of that set I could just ask myself if it was like drafting cube and probably say "no."
I mean, imagine if Maro had said "Yes." Look how much we would have learned!

There was some discussion about it in one of the other threads. I think Eric runs it? I was going to add it but then chickened out and added basilisk collar instead.

It's great, there are plenty of guys that hold it, it's cheap, and its boost is massive. Turns some so-so guy they can afford to take a couple hits from or chump block a bunch into a real threat.

Today we had a 5-man tenchester draft and I finally got to put a zombie deck together. I got all four gravecrawlers and a bunch of other cards. I definitely think it's time for Red Sun's Zenith to come back. And maybe that shock that exiles, whatever that's called.

In our case, it's mostly just size, and needing to accommodate multiple images on a line within a forum post before wrapping. Those magiccards images are big yo.

so i had a horrible idea for a cube made up of like 99% legacy staples in multiples with the assumption that players would be provided with 3x each fetch 3x each ABU dual in addition to basics
basically the idea is to create a draft format that during play is similar to legacy

quick test draft run after hitting 402 cards
edit: might as well link to the cube http://cubetutor.com/viewcube/8347

horrible test
