    Charm Cube (Shards/Wedges)

List got a big update after the release of BFZ. I've been on hiatus after the birth of my second kid, and just now getting back into it. The top-line change is no morphs (technically there's still rattleclaw mystic but you'd always just play it face up). This is because: there's a narrow set...

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

I benched Falkenrath as part of a set of changes to slow down the games by a half turn, very happy with it

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

want to throw this out and say that if your cube has a power-level range that can handle this guy: swift warkite he's been amazingly fun in 3s Cube. So far my favorite DTK card.

    Charm Cube (Shards/Wedges)

Thoughts on Rotisserie Drafting Your Own Cube During the draft someone described rotisserie drafting a cube as a "450-space worker placement game" which is a metaphor I like because it really underlines one of my favorite parts of the format: you don't necessarily take the most important card...

    Charm Cube (Shards/Wedges)

three logistical suggestions: - google docs is useful for this (pretty common at this point) - on one of the tabs, paste the entire cube list separated by sections. Have people make their picks using cut and paste so it's clear near the end what's left. - By the end, we we found it convenient to...

    Charm Cube (Shards/Wedges)

What's tough is the two cards you mentioned do NOT trigger Sidisi :(. In practice though it doesn't matter because Sidisi has been shown to trigger more than enough. I've been keeping out on-board incremental advantage if it feels repetitive. For example, I kicked out Charmbreaker Devils but...

    Charm Cube (Shards/Wedges)

out of all the colors, blue has eaten the most space for synergy strategies and cards, which is primarily due to the initial concessions to sultai / Sidisi, Brood Tyrant, fact I don't support draw-go style play, and the realization that I misbuilt the izzet section a little bit. I think we've...

    Charm Cube (Shards/Wedges)

I think the theory is sound sound, and you have Boros Charm as wipe protection so I think it'd work. I'll put some thought into my build and post over the weekend. I think your opponents are going to be worried if they get down to ~8 just thanks to the Blood Artist effects plus the other reach.

    Charm Cube (Shards/Wedges)

We're now 2 days into a rotisserie draft featuring celebrity guess 8th seat Eric Chan: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1AZKjfg8w9j2dZwpi-nqeuEjEWVmT2YsR6XvPmItA-BI I was not prepared for how immediately people would be drafting 3-color cards.

General Decks that have 3-0'd your cube

Reef Worm gives you a lot of time on defense, and if anything is slightly too good against :r:/:b: in my list (all the removal will trigger) unless you're able to go wide. No one has really abused sacrifice effects, and I don't expect them to since those decks are typically lower curve and not...

General Decks that have 3-0'd your cube

This is the other 3-1 deck (aka, tied for the winner of the night, with a Grixis splash white), which I was able to beat despite having 4 really sweet FRF cards (the update had ~18 cards from FRF): Ones 1 Silent Departure Twos 1 deranged assistant 1 baleful strix 1 dragon fodder 1 fall of...

    Charm Cube (Shards/Wedges)

4th session, 8 seats with the FRF changes I link earlier (in first pack, seat 1 passes to seat 2) 1) {W}{R} - blaze commando/young pyromancer aggro. (me; and linked deck picture here) 2) {R}{U}{G} - ramp / big plays, really got a lot of value out of fight cards 3) {U}{W}{G} - very removal...
