    Card/Deck Low Power Card Spotlight

It's not that strong. It takes two turns to get the first card and at least one unblocked attack. Even though menace is evasion, any two blockers stop it. The best case is drawing a card every other turn, which is good but in a fragile body with caveats. Looter il-Kor is stronger. Only reason...

General RNG Tries to Fuck Me Up?

Curving out consistently 1-2-3 drops like you want is not usual. Much more reasonable is having 2 out of 3 of those. If your aggro decks need to curve out like that to be competitive, maybe the answers to them are too strong? I'd say something about resilience and long-term/grindy viability...

    General "Looking for a card"-Thread

I'm looking for a hybrid Simic card. I currently run Snakeform, but it's too situational to be worth it. I like Overbeing of Myth, but it's not really hybrid. Also, doesn't need to be literally hybrid. Something like Fire // Ice is fine, if it's playable without the other color.

General Enchantments not ruining your day

I'll keep an eye on it, thanks. Curse of Predation was definitely GRBS for me. It might be fine given black aggro hasn't been faring well. I don't have land untap synergies, so it's not very interesting in deckbuilding. Perhaps it would be more interesting in play. I'll consider it, though...

General Enchantments not ruining your day

I agree 100%, and would like to add that in a slower environment (and low power tends to be slower) the opportunity cost of casting enchantments and not having immediate impact is exacerbated. Most enchantments I run are archetype support, so being hard to remove is a feature. Dawn of Hope...

Sets [IKO] Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths

Man, I really wish Fire Prophecy, Jaya's Greeting, and Magma Jet were sorceries. I'm trying to control the density of cheap instant speed interaction (that is, make auras and expensive utility creatures playable), but smoothing is super important and Lightning Javelin is... a bit too bad.

Sets [IKO] Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths

Well, I feel watched now. I considered this for UG Flash, but 1/1 is too weak to exert pressure. Kessig Prowler is a lot better, and pretty tame in power level. I can't see anyone playing this little dude even at my power level :(

I don't think it's stronger. The eggs can only attack after they crack, and the opponent can just not attack to prevent getting overrun (modulo sacrifice shenanigans). The extra mana is a very relevant difference, and while the stats scale, the ability is slower. The extra mana is also more...

    Card/Deck Low Power Card Spotlight

I ran it for a while and no one ever played it, including me :( In what kind of deck does it work best? Is it playable in any deck that can pay {2}{W/U}{W/U}?

    Card/Deck Golem Tribal

Also since 2015: Splicer's Skill Golden Guardian Meteor Golem Hollow One Awakened Amalgam Golem tribal is now one of the bases upon which my cube is built. They are the conjunction of many archetypes: blink, artifacts, tokens, humans, golems. Blade Splicer might well be the best first pick...

Emeria is "wow, this is so good" for me. I removed it just because it's generically good and I was trying to push archetypes, not good stuff, but now that I find the balance needs to tilt towards good stuff, I might add it back.

How do you run a mill deck that can be interacted with? Nephalia Drownyard was such GRBS in my cube (probably due to cube speed).

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

I find that the decks that self-mill don't want to lose three creatures in the yard and shrink their Bonehoard or Twilight's Call, or exile their Squee, Goblin Nabob / Honored Hydra, so Skaab Ruinator is basically unplayable because it's so risky and isn't that good a payoff.

    Card/Deck Low Power Card Spotlight

Whoa, I hadn't realized it was a "leaves play" ability and not "dies". I guess I took that mental shortcut in '97 and never actually RTFC again. Although I'm not a big fan of unblockability, this looks like a nice part for blink, is usable elsewhere, but not so good that blink won't a change...
